Trump Unleashes Latest Verbal Tirade Against U.S. Leaders, Obama

If Donald Trump doesn’t run for president, he’s already made enough waves to project himself as at least a political pundit once The Apprentice runs its course. The brilliance of Trump’s media blitz and will he or won’t he dance around whether he’ll run for president has yet to fully reveal itself. In the current political climate, Trump won’t embarrass himself by trying to secure the GOP nomination. In fact, he’s probably got a legitimate chance of actually winning it, although that may work against the GOP in a head-to-head competition with Obama.

Trump took to the podium at the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Vegas to speak to his fans and followers about his issues with current U.S. leadership. He said bluntly, “Our leaders are stupid, they are stupid people. It’s just very, very sad.” That sort of rhetoric is going to be an extremely powerful weapon for Trump if he actually decides to make a run at the presidency. The truth is that most Americans believe that statement to be true, but few politicians will ever speak that way about their colleagues. As a result, Trump will have a tremendous advantage as a legitimate outsider. Ironically, most Americans will be able to relate more easily to Trump, a near-billionaire and reality television star, than any politician.

The problem that the GOP faces in Trump, however, is that he’s going to go all out to knock down and rivals he faces for the GOP nomination. It won’t take much for Trump to do irreparable damage to Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty or any of the other current lackluster potential GOP candidates. And Obama’s current position in the White House will actually work in Trump’s favor on one issue. It will be impossible for GOP rivals to claim that Trump doesn’t have the experience required to be president. After all, that was one of the biggest criticisms of Barack Obama and he won the presidency anyway.
