Design Crowdsourcing – 10 Designs You Should Crowdsource

Crowdsourcing is the act of outsourcing tasks to a large group of people (a crowd) through an open call. Crowdsourcing allows many people to bring their ideas to the table and is ideal for many projects especially within the design industry.

Design crowdsourcing involves a client creating a brief and opening it up to the world by placing it on a website (such as a site like DesignCrowd). Once the brief has been created the client will then select the budget and any other features (such as a private listing or white labelling). Once the client has selected the budget and extra features they can create a payment and the brief will be uploaded to a website where thousands of graphic designers compete for the client. When this happens, the designers compete on quality (not cost) and the client gets the best result.

Crowdsourcing allows you to choose the best designer for your project by offering you many alternatives in a short time period. Crowdsourcing your design allows for a level of immediacy and competition that is otherwise unattainable by using a design studio.

Here are 10 designs you can crowdsource to get amazing results:

1) Logo design – logo design is the perfect crowdsourcing project. You need to get your logo design right and, if you are just starting you can’t risk using just one designer who might not get you what you want and potentially cost you money (which is in short supply for a bootstrapped entrepreneur). If you want to eliminate risk from your logo design project, if you aren’t exactly sure which designer to choose, you should consider logo design crowdsourcing.

2) Home page web design – there are millions and millions of web pages on the Internet, you do not want your web page to be lost in the mix. By crowdsourcing your web design you increase your chance of getting an innovative, creative web design in a short time frame. Rather than crowdsourcing your whole website, HTML and coding, just crowdsource your home page design. It is a simpler discrete project, perfectly suited to the design crowdsourcing process.

3) Flyer design (single page) – innovative flyer design can make a huge difference to response rates and ROI on a print marketing. Flyer design is also simple enough to crowdsource (unlike a 50 page brochure design). By crowdsourcing your flyer you will have greater access to more ideas and can ensure you get a flyer that stands out.

4) Business cards – your personal reminder in everyone’s wallet. Your business card should represent you, your company and your ethics all in one small rectangle. With limited space there is a limited capacity for design. If you crowdsource your business card not only will you get wide and varied submissions but it will open up your idea of what a business card could really look like and the submissions will hit you after the first day.

5) Stationery design – stationery is not just your logo on a business card and letterhead. It is part of your corporate identity and it is important. Crowdsource your stationery design and you will be surprised at the creativity a designer can put fit on the back of a business card.

6) T-Shirt design – are you sick of going to company golf days and finding the same old pictures with the same old slogans? Do you want to skip the bad jokes at your next team building event? Crowdsource your T-shirt design and get ahead of the crowd. Crowdsourcing is the best way to access new trends and gives you the opportunity to access fashion ideas from all over the globe without having to hire a designer from Milan.

7) WordPress theme design – WordPress theme templates are a dime a dozen. They start at $3. If that’s all you can afford, go for it. But if you want a quality, unique WordPress design consider crowdsourcing it!

8) Personal brand – Create your own brand, your own blog, your own stamp on the world is becoming increasingly possible. If you want your personal brand to stand out, access a crowdsourcing site and ask them to represent you as you see yourself or want to be seen. Start developing your own personal brand and crowdsource yourself today.

9) Poster design – a poster needs to stand out from the crowd (excuse the pun) and be viewed in transit as well as standing up to close scrutiny. If you need a fresh idea, or find your posters looking like every other poster try crowdsourcing. When you crowdsource a poster you will typically get 25 to 50+ concepts from various countries, you may find that the cultural change is just what you need to get noticed or that getting 50 or more designs has opened your eyes to what a poster could really look like.

10) Website banner ads – when advertising online (via banner ads) your click through rate (CTR) is critical. A good banner ad can double or triple your CTR and sales from a campaign. Crowdsource banner ad design through a site like DesignCrowd and ask the thousands of graphic designers from around the world to create banner ads for you.

In summary, for any graphic design project that requires creativity, for any project you would like to see lots of options and for any project where you are open to ideas, crowdsourcing is the option for you. The more creative you want it, the better it will be if you place your idea on a competitive marketplace and let creative minds do the work.

It
has become a key element in making a site work and earns a profit. A website
operator and owner must have the good sense to include articles in his or her
site that will work for them and earn them the many benefits articles can give
to their site.

Articles have been known to be the driving force in driving
traffic to a website. Articles are a factor in giving site high rankings in
search result pages. The higher a site ranks the bigger slice of the traffic
flow pie he gets. With a huge number in traffic flow, there are more profits
and more potential for other income generating schemes as well. Genrate your
original content and submit free articles
for increase your site traffic.

But, it is not just about stuffing your site with articles;
they have certain requirements as well. These requirements must be met to
obtain the maximum benefits an article will provide for your site. A well written
article will catch the eyes and interest of your customers and keep them coming
back for more.  They would also be able
to recommend your site to others.

Here are some tips to help you and assist you in making your
articles. Below you will read about four things all articles must have to make
it successful and helpful in making your site a profit earning and traffic
overflowing site.

•    Keywords and
Keyword Phrases.

An article must always be centered on the keywords and
keyword phrases. As each website visitor goes to a site, there are those who
are just merely browsing but actually looking for a specific something. When
this happens, a searcher usually goes to a search engine and types in the
keywords they are looking for (e.g. Toyota Camry, Meningitis, Tax Lawyer and
Etcetera). It could be anything they want.

The Important thing is that you have an article that has the
keywords that are related to your site. For example, if you maintain an auto
parts site, you must be able  have
articles about cars and their parts.
There are many tools in the internet that provides service in helping a
webmaster out in determining what keywords and keyword phrases are mostly
sought out. You can use this tool to determine what keywords to use and write
about.

 •    Keyword Density

Know that you have your keywords and keyword phrases, you
must use them fully. An article must have good keyword density for a search
engine to “feel” its presence. Articles should at least have ten to
fifteen percent of keyword density in their content for search engines to rank
a site high in their search results. Getting a high rank is what articles do
best for a site.

Keyword density is the number of times a keyword or keyword
phrase is used on an article. The number varies depending on the number of
words used in an article. An effective article must have a keyword density that
is not too high or too low. With a very high density, the essence of the
article is lost and may turn off a reader as well as the search engines. It
comes off as overeager. A low number may be ignored by the search engines.

•    Good Article
Content

Like what is stated above, you cannot just riddle an article
with keywords. They must also be regarded as good reading materials. Articles
must be able to entertain people as well as provide good information and help
for their needs. Articles should be written well with correct spelling and good
grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your work good and well thought
out.

People respond well to figures, facts and statistics. Try to
get great information and as many facts as you can. A good and well written
article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field or topic.
As more people believe in you. They will be able to trust you and your
products.

•    Linking Articles

And another important thing to remember. If you are going to
submit articles to ezines and/or
contribute your articles to newsletters and other sites, DON’T ever forget to
include a link to your site. A little resource box with a brief description of
your site and you should always be placed right after your articles that you
have submitted. If people like your articlesFree Reprint Articles, they will most likely click on
the link directing them to your site.

What are you waiting for start your article marketing campaign
right now and start profiting hundreds by easily submitting content that is
already created for you

Why Jennifer Love Hewitt and David Cameron have Blogs and Why you should Too

What does the UK shadow Prime Minister David Cameron have in common with Jennifer Love Hewitt? The answer of course is that they both have their own blogs (and in case you wondered, David’s one is technically better, though Jen’s one is nicer to look at). In case you’ve not got your own blog set-up as yet, somehow and someway…you’d better start thinking about it.

Blogs Continue To Grow From Strength To Strength – And Here’s Why…

There’s a couple of really simple reasons why blogs have grown so strongly over the past few years (to an estimated 150 million worldwide). Once you get past the installation, configuration and set-up (which, no matter what the marketers selling blog-courses tell you, still requires skill and knowhow to get right)…it’s EASY to use blogs to build your business. Blogs have a simple WYSIWYG editor which allows anyone to have their own web presence, and add content to the web regularly and with minimum technical skills.
With websites it’s not quite as simple – for example, even with the best of HTML editors you need a little html knowledge, and you need to know how to FTP to server and all that.

Once your blog is set-up and configured (this is where you need a fair bit of technical skill), getting pages online is as easy as falling off a log.

Secondly, you can do some amazing things with blogs once you learn the fundamentals – such as which are the best plugins, and how to install them. You can add in your own videos, audios, tools…and everything in between.

The Advantages Of Owning A Blog From A Business Perspective

A blog gives you a sound infrastructure from which to promote your own and your affiliate products. Let me be frank – if you’re serious about generating product sales and affiliate commissions, you NEED a dedicated site to show people that you’re a serious and credible online business person. I cannot stress enough, that means having your OWN domain name, and your own blog or website. The reason you cannot seriously host a blog at wordpress or blogger is quite obvious – firstly, it’s a security risk (people HAVE lost their blogs and all the content within on these external servers for a myriad of reasons). And with equal weighting, a blog hosted on blogger or wordpress screams “amateur”. And, like it or not, no one wants to do business with an amateur. It’s got to be your own domain.

As a side-note, If you’re online enough, you’ll see a lot of rubbish being promoted that promise newbies false dawns such as “yes – you CAN make a fortune without a website or an opt in list or any arms and legs…blah blah”. It’s tripe. In the long run you need your own web presence, and don’t let anyone con you into thinking anything else. And a blog fits that bill perfectly.

Let’s take last week as an example. We saw Mike Filsaime launch his Traffic Fusion thingy – and his minions who promoted the program scarpered off with commissions worth over seven hundred bucks per sale. You know I did not promote it, and we wont go into why (see my blog if you’re itching to know) – but the point is you can bet that everyone who made those large commissions on that launch had their own blog or website. To the victor belong the spoils, and as a blog owner, you really are the victor.

If you’re new online, then a blog is an ideal starting point to get a web presence. I mean come on, both David Cameron and Jennifer Love Hewitt can’t be wrong.

Questions We should Ask about Social Media

Who is responsible for marketing and contents in Social Media Marketing? Are the HR team, the Operational Team, the R&D team, the Merchandising team and the CEO aware of how Social Media work and how consumers now interact with them?

Social Media are increasingly growing in number and popularity.

Users, customers and companies are nowadays facing the new opportunity of the online “Conversation” with the tools of Social Media.

Usually big companies have so far managed their communications with their marketing teams, but now it’s time for a more coordinated effort across the various functions within the business.

The new culture of participation give us the opportunity to use the new Social Media tools to benefit the whole organization.

Here are just some questions that we should ask ourself in order to understand how to take advantage of the new tools:

- Who is responsible for contents in Social Media Campaigns?
- Is HR team using Social Media to attract new talents?
- Is the Merchandising team using Social Media to test new products?

The next question is whether the CEO is up to date with the seismic shift in the way consumers and staff now interact with media?

Email Marketing Services: The Tools Your Esp Should Offer

Choosing an email service provider can be daunting, especially when you have no idea what to look out for, or what to compare. Here are some of the standard email marketing services your email service provider (ESP) should be providing:

/>

Tools to set up and manage your mailing list

In order to send out your email newsletters you need to gather subscribers. (In most countries it is illegal to send bulk email messages to someone who hasn’t opted in to receiving your mailings.) Most ESPs can assist you in creating a subscription form and adding it to your site, blog and Facebook page. You should also be able to set up a double opt-in process. These subscriptions should automatically be added to your mailing list, or address book. Some ESPs will even offer you the option of importing contact lists from other programs, like Microsoft Excel or Outlook.

Tools to create your own HTML email newsletter

Of course, the most exciting part of your email campaign is creating your email newsletter. Ideally, your ESP should cater for all levels of design expertise. Most ESPs, for instance, offer free email marketing templates that you can easily edit and use for your mailings. If, however, you have an idea of what you want your newsletter to look like, but you’re not an experienced designer, look out for an email marketing platform that offers an easy-to-use template builder. That way, you should be able to easily create a newsletter that reflects your business brand.

Of course, if you have HTML knowledge or design experience, most ESPs do give you access to HTML newsletter editors.

Sending tools

Any bulk email service should provide you with the tools to ensure a safe, reliable send and a high delivery rate. So check the sending features of your service provider. Will they allow you to do test sends or give you access to testing tools? Will you be able to preview what your email will look like in different inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, etc.)?
Make sure that your ESP offers a spam checker, allowing you to check whether your email contains anything that might trigger a spam filter. Your ESP should boast good relationships with major internet service providers, that way your email is less likely to be marked as spam.

Tools to track and monitor your campaign

It is standard for email marketing companies to offer you tools to track and monitor your campaigns. Look out for an ESP that will provide you with comprehensive reports and statistics on all your sends, allowing you to see how many of your email were delivered, how many were opened, etc. It is also important that you’re able to see why delivery to a particular subscriber failed – whether their inbox was full, your email was caught in a spam filter, or if the email address was incorrect.
By tracking your campaigns you’ll be able to see how your send performed and ensure that you continually improve on your campaigns.

5 Things You Should Be Doing On Linkedin But Likely Are Not

1) Use the Widget and Links on Your Profile Page to Maximize Exposure. Getting people to visit your profile is half the battle with LinkedIn, however once they are there are you inviting them to go where you want them to go? Using the website links as well as widgets such as “Wordpress” to add your blogs post to you profile are a great way to engage people. These people are already interested in you, they are reading you profile. Don’t limit their engagement to what you can type on LinkedIn, take them to other places that can educate them further and/or promote your brand or your products.

/>

2) Respond to Questions and Answers. This is often encouraged to gain expertise and “rank” within communities as an expert. This is very true, however there is also a very important aspect of engagement when you provide value to a conversation in this format. You automatically engage a targeted audience who all have a certain mindset. If you’re savvy, you cannot just build expertise, but you can weave in relevant self-promotion that is usually highly effective.

3) Provide research to a community. This is basically providing a group with interesting data and topics as news or discussion. Similar to the reasons above, this type of engagement will not only provide you an audience and build your rank within a community, it will also make people more receptive and engaging when you lead them to self promotion. People don’t mind being “pitched” or getting some level of promotion from folks as long as they first get value from them.

4) Figure out what you want, then build a group to accomplish it. Most people feel intimidate to start their own group on LinkedIn or feel like it’s going to be a hassle to maintain. Before you dismiss it, give it a try. It’s not that hard and you may be surprised by how many professionals out there are interested in same goals or topics you are. Owning a group has several advantages, perhaps the largest is you can communicate directly to them at any time.

5) Use LinkedIn. Ok, this one sounds a bit dumb. However a majority of people we train do not login and interact frequently. They use it more as a repository for their online resume, which they update once every few months, then happily go about “facebooking” several times a day. This is ok if you’re 18 or if you have no current professional goals or needs. However, if you need a job or have a business objective that requires others, get on LinkedIn! It’s overlooked often, but truly is one of the most effective and powerful networking tools today.

List Building – Should You Give a Hoot About SEO?

Search engine optimization (SEO) has been more prominent since last year when Stomper Net opened its doors. There’s no doubt that if you make a page search engine friendly, you’re going to get lots of free search engine traffic. But to keep an SEO system working well, you really need specialized knowledge. Does that mean it’s not for you? Absolutely not! You can use some simple SEO strategies to get your list building pages seen.

It’s incredibly important that you put your opt-in box anywhere you can–the homepage of your website, your blog, your profile at MySpace, and so on. Do that today, if you haven’t already. It’s that important to list building. You’re wasting some prime space there.

To improve your list building efforts, you’ll then need to send traffic to those sites. First, find your optimum keywords, specific to your niche. Take a piece of paper and write each one that you can think of down, just anything you think that people might search for.

Let’s say you’re selling jewelry online. You’ll come up with words like pearls, gemstones, diamonds, earrings, rings, and so on. Then, hop over to http://inventory.overture.com and see how many people searched on each term in the previous month. Then, disregard the words with the highest number of searches because it will be too hard to rank in the search engine results for those. They’re just uber-competitive. Also disregard any terms with 3,000 searches or less. Nobody’s looking for them. They won’t help you.

From that list, the word that gets the highest number of searches can be the keyword you’re going to try to rank for. The second word will be your second keyword, and so on. Choose no more than five words and use those in every blog post you make, up to a density of 2%. That means, if you have 1,000 words, be sure that 20 of them are your keywords. It’s best to choose just one for each post you write. Otherwise, you’ll go nuts trying to get a 2% density for three or five. Plus, your writing won’t sound right to a readers’ ear. It will be obvious that you’re trying to get ranking in the search engines, which will see your over-stuff article as nothing more than search engine spam and it will be discounted.

But how does this apply to list building? You’ll see. Hang on…

When you’ve finished your post, and you’re sure your keyword density is around that 2% mark, go to your post and make the one of the keywords you used bold or italic. Also link to your website with one of the keywords you used, and make the hyperlink to your list building page. After making several posts in your blog, you should start to see your site rise in the rankings, and you’ll be getting more people on your list. Don’t expect immediate results because SEO takes a while to kick in. Just keep posting and using your keywords, and you should see some results.

You can do the same thing with your website and your blog at MySpace or wherever you hang out and be improving your list building efforts, too. You don’t have to be an SEO genius to use these tricks, and you’ll be amazed at the results. So, go sit down and start listing all the keywords you can imagine. Watch them work for you.

10 Reasons Why You Should Pay for Search Engine Optimization

Most people who are internet savvy probably would assume it is much easier to do search engine optimization themselves without the need to hire any professional search engine optimization assistance. In some cases this may work, but in most cases this is an absolute injustice for your web business. Marketing is an important and viable aspect of any business and without the proper marketing attention a business can easily fail. The following are 10 reasons why you should hire a professional search engine optimization consultant or SEO company.

Search Engine Optimization Takes Time, Effort, & Dedication

It takes an extreme amount of time, effort, and dedication to successfully complete a search engine optimization campaign. Search engine optimization consultants and companies usually have dedicated time to work on your search engine optimization project, thus giving you a controlled and managed search engine optimization campaign. Large companies as well as many small companies can provide your search engine optimization campaign the SEO effort and architecture it needs. Attempting to dedicate your own time can sometimes be overwhelming and without strict self-discipline you can easily get sidetracked. Additionally, progress for your search engine optimization campaign can take time to see any results, this fact can lessen your motivation to complete your own do-it-yourself search engine optimization campaign.

SEO Tools, SEO Strategy, & SEO Experience Goes a Long Way

The available SEO tools are ever-changing, but most skilled SEO’s have a suite of SEO tools which they keep up with and use to execute reports and other processes, such as keyword research, keyword density reports, keyword competition reports, traffic reports, etc. Like any profession you need the necessary tools and essentials to get the job done, the experienced use of SEO tools will aid in any SEO campaign. Professional SEO consultants and companies create SEO strategies and roadmaps to successfully market client websites, this strategic roadmap outlines in detail the planned effort to market clients’ websites. SEO strategy is essential for any SEO campaign. Having an experienced SEO professional on your side is always ideal. Experienced SEO’s stay up to date with the latest SEO trends and news. By having an experienced SEO your website can impressively gain ranking within a short time and much more effectively, providing greater Return on Investment (ROI).

Search Engine Optimization Is Not Easy

Search engine optimization is not simple, it’s not just starting a website and throwing around hundreds or thousands of links. Those days of search engine optimization are gone. It is now more about strategy, method, and architecture. Search engine optimization is a form of engineering these days. True search engine optimization engineers stay up to date with search engine algorithm and search marketing. Knowing the trends is important, but that doesn’t necessarily mean following trends, true search engine optimization engineers use experience, skill, historical methods, and best practices to successfully market websites. Researching trends and not just following trends is very important, a good search engine optimization engineer uses good judgment, to know what methods work and what is borderline unethical or useless methods.

SEO Services Do Not Have to be Very Expensive

Most full SEO campaigns are expensive, but relatively affordable compared to other advertising avenues, such as: print advertising, broadcast advertising, etc. Shop around for SEO Services which match your marketing budget and needs. Do not settle for the first bidder, compare the first bidders’ rate against other SEO companies and consultants rates. Contact various SEO consultants and SEO companies to receive a free custom quote. Negotiate the SEO rate and services until it fits your budget and needs. Get yourself a fair and honest deal that you are satisfied with.

Search Engine Optimization Can Take Your Website to New Heights

It’s no secret that having your site rank in the top 10 results on search engines is very rewarding and can provide you with herds of traffic, if you rank for the right keywords. Search engine optimization can excel your website through the ranks and land your website in the top search results for virtually any keyword of your choosing. It is important that the search engine optimization company or consultant you choose targets top search results for all 3 major search engines (Google, Yahoo, & MSN). By having top search results in all 3 major search engines for a popular search term you are surely going to increase website sales and exposure.

Professional & Experienced SEO Services Can Be the Difference Between You and Your Competitors

Most online businesses and services invest in professional and experienced SEO services. The top search results for popular keyword terms usually have professional and experienced SEO companies and consultants in their corner, leading their online marketing campaign. By having professional and experienced SEO’s working for you, your website will naturally outrank your competitors who use the do-it-yourself method of SEO services. It is always imperative to stay one step ahead of your competition and it’s more likely you will do so with the aid of professional and experienced SEO services.

Search Engine Optimization Gets You the Best Bang for Your Buck

When you compare search engine optimization with other media advertising efforts such as print advertising, television commercial advertising, and radio broadcast advertising then search engine optimization gives the best bang for your buck. While other advertising methods can cost hundreds of thousands for advertising, search engine optimization cost peanuts compared to these other advertising methods. Let’s say you spend $25,000 for a full search engine optimization campaign and you spend (let’s say) $100,000 for a television commercial ad which runs for 1 full week at prime time (I know that ad is a whole lot more than that, but this is just an example). The search engine optimization campaign is much cheaper and the return on investment is much greater for the search engine optimization campaign. Why? Because the search engine optimization campaign has a broader reach, it can reach anyone across the globe, while the TV commercial ad is specific for local or nation broadcasting within their network. Secondly, the search engine optimization campaign is much more targeted and relevant to the customer needs, because the customer actually initiated the search and was looking for you, while the TV commercial ad is an interruption to the customers viewing program and the customer is more likely to ignore the commercial ad, especially if it does not entice them.

SEO Services Can Help Increase Business Sales Drastically

Increasing business sales have never been easier. If you have a brick & mortar which sales goods, then it is advised that you also have an online store to sale your goods as well. Having an online business while investing in professional and experienced SEO services will help your business expand and grow drastically. Like any sound business decision, as a business owner you are always looking for new ways to monetize, expand, and stay ahead of competition, SEO services for your online business is the perfect solution for getting this done.

Professional Search Engine Optimization Can Increase Your Search Ranking in a Shorter Time Period

Professional search engine optimization services can get your website ranked in a shorter time than trying to do it yourself. With the aid of professional and experienced search engine optimization your website can rank within the search engines within weeks, maybe even days. Finding the right professional with the skill level you need can be quite rewarding.

Treat Your Website Like a Business

If your website is going to be a part of your financial lifeblood then it is sensible to treat your website as a business and recruit professional search engine optimization services. Good business sense is to outsource or employ others to complete day to day task and projects such as search engine optimization and search engine marketing, so you can have more time to concentrate on running a successful business. Many businesses fail due to the do-it-yourself model. Doing things yourself is ‘okay’ if the task you are performing is your profession or relates directly to your business service, but trying to do things yourself because its your hobby, interest, or saves you money can be damaging to your business, as you need to treat your website like a business and only seek professional and experienced assistance for your business needs.

I highly encourage that any true website owner who is interested in reaching top search results seriously consider professional and experienced SEO services for a full search engine optimization campaign. SEO services may be an expensive advertising avenue, but as we discussed above it is much cheaper than its other advertising counterparts and the reward is much greater. Search engine optimization has long been a mystery to many people and is foreign to some, but with the help and aid of professional and experienced SEO services you will easily increase website sales, traffic, and exposure. If you employ the right search engine optimization company or consultant I can almost guarantee you will have a rewarding experience and will not regret it.

Should You Have A Blog?

What is blogging? Why do so many people now have their own blog? Why would anyone, including celebrates and business owners, ever have a blog?

/>

Blogs have evolved, however, into a terrific tool to promote anything. Businesses are setting up blogs, as well as individuals, who want to promote their products. Blogs are the perfect tool for anyone who wants a presence on the internet.

Using free blogging software, such as WordPress or Blogger, you can have a site up in minutes. Spend a little extra time creating a header graphic and you can have a professional-looking site up in less than an hour.

Although many people are confused when they hear the word blog, that is beginning to change. Professionals have found that using a blog to communicate with their audience is a great way to build excitement about an upcoming product launch, keep their buyers informed about updates, or just simply communicate with the world. What an inspiring thought that is – to communicate with the world!

It’s true, though, that a blog puts each of us in a spotlight for the whole world to find us. Within a few hours of setting up a blog you can have traffic coming to visit. With a good ping list you simply make a post and dozens of sites are told (pinged) that you have added content to your blog. It really is that simple.

Another way to get traffic is to make relevant comments on other blogs with your blog’s URL listed with your name. You can also go to answers.yahoo.com and answer questions in your field, again leaving your blog’s URL with your name. If your answer is good, people will be inclined to visit your site to see what else you are saying about the topic.

If you regularly post, get links coming to the site, and provide good, solid content, you should succeed in getting a decent amount of traffic within a short time. There are blogs that are getting about 100 visitors a day after 3 months online and there are blogs getting a million visitors a day after a year. It depends a lot on the number of people interested in the topic.

Monetizing a blog is not hard. If you are selling a product then you will be focused on promoting your product. Don’t provide the visitor very many choices except to buy your product. In other words, don’t have Adsense or affiliate products on prominent pages. Place them on pages that visitors end up on if they are not interested in your product.

If you don’t have a product then you can use an assortment of money-makers such as Adsense, Chitika, and affiliate products. If you go this route, don’t depend on just one revenue source. Have several affiliate products, Clickbank products, and pay per click advertising.

There is no reason why anyone with a computer and an internet connection could not make money with a blog. It is very simple. The blog does most of the work. All you really have to do is set it up and then post interesting content. Don’t put it off another day.
